The maiden edition of Landmark Oyebamiji unity football competition
has commenced in Owutu area of Ikorodu on Sunday, November 16 at
Landmark playing ground, Ojokoro Village with 18 teams registered for
the tournament.
According to the organizer of the competition, Mr Oshoba Babatunde
disclosed that the aim of the competition is to select best players
out of all the 18 teams for trial in Europe.
The opening match featured Success fc pipped Landmark fc 1-0 while
Immaculate follow suit as they defeated Shallon fc with the same goal
margin.
In group B which was played on Monday, Bright future fell 2-0 in the
hand of Macadex while the match between Leo fc and Nero fc that was
expected to hold on Wednesday was disqualify due to unavailable of
both teams for the encounter.

Ayomiposi to tackle AACC fc in Baale's cup final
Ayomiposi fc and AACC fc are two final teams that will trade tackle
with each other in the grand finale of the maiden edition of Baale's
cup competition in Ikorodu.
According to the source, the final date has been scheduled to kick off
on November 9 at the famous Police Barrack playing ground.
Ayomiposi fc defeated Bobby fc 4-2 via penalty shoot out after the
game ended 1 goal apiece in regulation time during yesterday's semi
final match to book their place in the final.
However, AACC fc on the other hand had an easy victory over Leo fc
with AACC fc skipper, Segun Abiodun scoring hatrick in the second semi
final encounter.
Meanwhile, an anonymous source disclosed that the winner of the
competition will apart from the trophy go home with #500,000, the
runner up will go home with #250,000, while the winner between Bobby
fc and Leo fc will fight for #150,000 and #100,000 respectively.

Ikorodu host maiden edition of Baale's cup
The first edition of Baale's cup competition has commenced in Ikorodu.
The competition is being played at the famous Police barrack playing
ground,Ikorodu.
According to source,The competition is organised to honour the late
paramount ruler of Ikorodu,
Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi (Oguntade II), who died recently.
However, 32 teams have shown interest of participate in the
competition and all the teams have been grouped into group of 8.
The competition commenced on Tuesday October 7. With Baales in Ikorodu
area were present to witness the maiden edition of the tournament and
no fewer than 33goals have been scored.
In the opening matches, Perfect Touch defeated their rival, Mighty
Stars 3-1 and AACC fc showed no mercy as they dealt heavy hammer to
Victory One with 6-0.
The New Generation on the other hand held Future stars to one goal
apiece while Great Warriors lost 2-3 to Ladegboye fc.
On Wednesday, Ark Of God lost 1-2 to Alubarika Omoade fc, Gbagada and
Bobby Fc also had maximum points against Noble Carpet fc and Leaders
fc with 3-0 and 2-1 respectively while Ultimate Villa and Olubodun fc
Shared a point as the game ended 1-1.
